What do you do in NNIT and how long have you worked here?
I started in NNIT in January 2022 after I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Web Development from CPH Business. Now I work as an Associate Developer in Customer Application Development in NNIT and spends most of my time working with a customer in the public administration segment on developing their new IT system.
How would you describe NNIT as a workplace?
NNIT is an open, diverse workplace where there is room for everyone. There are many different people with different educations and functions, which makes every day interesting and educational. Furthermore, it is always a pleasure to come to work because of the friendly atmosphere.
What do you enjoy about working in NNIT?
I enjoy being able to help developing new IT systems that can make a difference in the world and by being part of NNIT I am able to do this.
Having been in small companies early in my career, I am grateful for the opportunity to work in a bigger company like NNIT where there is room for one’s career development, as well as a possibility to work with a wide range of tasks.
Any advice for anyone looking for a career in NNIT?
The important thing is not to give up. When you see a job posting and you do not fulfill all the criteria, apply anyways.
In NNIT there is a lot of possibilities to improve your professional career and learn new skills, especially regarding IT. Most companies are more than willing to train and help their employees with their career development
People, especially women, are often scared away from the IT industry because they do not think they are qualified. However, it is important to remember that the IT industry consists of a lot of different aspects and tasks that are not strictly related to coding or building a new IT system. The IT industry is always looking for new employees.
