We live digitally. We pay bills, apply for public services, and share health data online. But who actually has control when our everyday lives depend on global tech giants and artificial intelligence?

Last year we talked about digital prepping and resilience. This year we ask: Does Denmark have real digital autonomy – and what does that mean for you as a citizen? Artificial intelligence now makes it possible to develop digital solutions faster, which means those solutions can increasingly be developed and operated locally – thereby strengthening digital sovereignty. At the same time, it still requires people in the process and responsible governance. But does artificial intelligence make us more self-reliant, or simply dependent in a new way?
