NNIT's near-term science-based emissions reduction target are SBTi approved

We are committed to reduce our carbon footprint

Since august 2022, we have worked on strengthening our commitment to sustainability by joining the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In 2024, we established ambitious 2030 targets for reducing our greenhouse gas emissions in line with 1.5 C trajectory. Our near-term-targets are grounded in climate science and have been formally validated by the SBTi in November 2024. These targets mark an important milestone on our journey toward meaningful and measurable emissions reductions across Scope 1, 2 & 3.

Science Based Targets Certification

Best practice in science-based target setting

Together with more than 7,000 companies worldwide, we aim to reduce CO₂ emissions from our business activities. We are working to further strengthen our data foundation and the analytical processes required to define ambitious, and credible long-term targets that meet the SBTi Net-Zero Standard.

Our ongoing work is essential to ensuring that NNIT can play a strong and responsible role in enabling a more sustainable digital future. According to the SBTi, net-zero is reached when our company no longer has a remaining climate impact from our greenhouse gas emissions.

SBTi validated targets

SBTi approved

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets.

NNIT A/S' scope 1 and 2 target ambition has been validated and determined it is in line with a 1.5C° trajectory.
