No organizations are the same. Culture, management style, organization, and leadership differentiate – even among companies that operate in the same industry or share similarities on paper.
However, there is something that all bigger organizations have in common: in recent years, they have been fighting to create business growth through digital transformation and the use of new technologies.
Digital transformation has been a long time coming. For years, buzzwords such as cloud, agility, and digital scaling have characterized the agenda. Yet, there are still great differences between individual organizations in terms of how far they for example have come on the cloud journey – and how they are working structured with digitalization.
Though, one is for sure: agility and the ability to transform digitally have never been more important. When the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world in the spring of 2020, organizations were forced to find new ways of keeping their business running in tense situations; they needed to run remote business, while client meetings had to take place online. This illustrated that the organizations who are at the forefront of digitalization also are the most agile and the ones best armed for times of big external changes.
