Application Support Consultant

As an Advanced Operations Specialist, you will be part of our monitoring team that ensures stable operation of ~300 PoS systems deployed in Denmark. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Participate in the daily operations of incident, service and change request management according to company standards.
  • Participate in the monitoring of client's systems
  • Involved in consolidation, automation and performance optimization
  • Documentation of operations and services
  • Researching methods, tools and solutions, and providing echo training to team members.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools for routine tasks.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly reports

The team works closely together with our IT Operations Services division in Denmark, responsible for everything from infrastructure and applications to complete orchestration and support of our customers' IT solutions. Our work processes are based on best practice and our procedures follow ITIL standards (IT Infrastructure Library).

 

Your qualifications
As an Application Support Consultant you have to have a broad technical knowledge on a 2nd level or higher support. You have a business-oriented approach to communication and problem-solving. You have strong analytical skills as well as a structured positive way of thinking. NNIT works according to the ITIL Framework and we expect that you are certified in ITIL, if not we will help you obtain the certification.

  • Relevant Bachelor degree and at least 5 years in the IT industry, preferably within a service oriented environment dealing with system/network operations and/or software development
  • Good documentation, communication and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge in Windows 7 and Windows 2003/2008 servers
  • Experience in MS SharePoint Administration
  1. Advanced skills in MS Office especially MS Excel
  • Knowledgeable in TCP/IP suite; Network (WAN/LAN/WLAN), VPN, RDP, Windows Services and Internet services (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, FTP and SMTP)
  • Best-in-class customer service skills
  • Experience in Process Design and Improvement
  • Can create short scripts to automate any routine work
  • Adept in troubleshooting Windows and application errors
  • Willing to work on shifts
  • Detail-oriented. Don't assume, ask for clarifications.
  • Deadline-Oriented. Has a sense of urgency
  • Open and Honest. Speaks his mind and gives sensible opinion and suggestion
  • Understands SLA, OLA and KPI. Can identify new metrics that will fit for the performance improvement of the team
  • Focused on Quality and Improvement
  • Well-organized and manage time and tasks properly
  •  

Favoured applicants should possess one or more of the following:

  • Knowledge with Microsoft AX Dynamics
  • Microsoft certification
  • ITIL Foundation certified
  • BMC Remedy
  • International experience is a plus
