Another year of growth

18 March 2009 | Press release

NNIT chalks up another year of growth
NNIT continues with growth based on quality. 2008 ended with a turnover of DKK 1,396 million, an increase of 19.8% on the previous year. And during the course of 2008 a further 256 employees have been employed.

On Monday NNIT published an annual report that shows progress on all fronts. Turnover has grown by 19.8 percent to DKK 1,396 million with pre-tax profits of DKK 173 million. It is the tenth year in a row that NNIT can present double-digit turnover growth. Other points to note include:

  • The growth is organic
  • That turnover from outside the Novo Nordisk Group has grown by 53 percent and now comprises 36 percent of the total turnover
  • That the growth has come from all NNIT’s customers, national and international

International growth
NNIT’s international breakthrough came in the first half of 2008 with the signing of contracts worth more than DKK 100 million with European pharmaceutical companies. NNIT has also expanded activities in its offices in Switzerland, China and the Czech Republic.

This has been partly to offer customers the best IT solutions and partly to gain access to even more highly qualified employees.

Growth in employee numbers
It isn’t just NNIT’s turnover that has grown in 2008. 256 new colleagues were added and by the end of the year, the company had 1,257 employees split between eight locations in Denmark and abroad.

One such location is a new office building in Soeborg, Copenhagen, with room for 350 employees. And there is no sign of an employment freeze in 2009 – quite the contrary says NNIT’s CEO Per Kogut:

”We are still on the lookout for the best employees both here and overseas, and we believe that we have one of the industry's best workplaces in terms of development opportunities and challenges. We work for the biggest Danish companies and are gaining more and more international customers. That demands we can present the best line-up of IT consultants with specific technical skills and with a strong understanding of our customers' businesses," says Per Krogut.

Growth in 2009
2008 is a good foundation for the coming years and NNIT has already made a good start with 2009:

”We have already signed several new co-operation agreements in the first few months of the year and our pipeline has never looked stronger. We again expect to see double-digit growth, increasing internationalisation, growing customer satisfaction and make NNIT an even better workplace,” adds Per Kogut.
