March 23 2010 | Press Release
NNIT delivered strong growth in an otherwise crisis-plagued 2009. The business achieved a turnover of EUR 213 million and a profit of EUR 27 million, which corresponds to a profit margin of 12.7 percent. At the same time, a series of pivotal contracts propelled the company into the heavyweight class of the Danish IT service market.
Contracts with PenSam and Saxo Bank in 2009 and before that with PFA, BRFKredit and Alka, have firmly established NNIT as one of the leading suppliers in the Danish IT service market. These many new contracts as well as the acquisition of the Philippine software development company Corebuilt have increased the staff by 153, and now NNIT has 1,410 employees in five countries.
'We are extremely proud of the results we have achieved in a difficult market. The success can only be attributed to strong professional skills among our employees. It’s proof that we’ve succeeded in integrating our special mindset for high quality and documentation, which is a part of our legacy and heritage, with the ability to deliver business critical solutions on time and on budget across a range of industries,' says Per Kogut, NNIT CEO.
In September 2009, the newspaper Børsen named NNIT Denmark’s best IT service company for the second time in its annual ‘IT Top 200’ study, and in November 2009 NNIT won the title of ‘Denmark’s preferred IT business’ in Version2’s annual profile analysis.
Well-prepared for the future
2009 created a good foundation for the coming years, and even though times are tough, NNIT is prepared:
'We believe in the future, and we are investing – for example in our large, new data centre, which will be ready by the end of the year. The data centre will allow us to continue our growth without compromising our high standard of quality. We have also just started construction on our brand new headquarters. We can now look forward to gathering all of our colleagues in eastern Denmark under one roof. This will strengthen our company culture as well as our internal cooperation and therefore our ability to serve our customers,' concludes Per Kogut.
