Copenhagen – Association of Danish Pharmacies has contracted NNIT A/S to operate and develop PharmaNet – the finance and retail system used by more than 185 Danish pharmacies – for a further four years.
The contract brings, among other advantages, more effective development of the system with additional functionality delivered by NNIT's development department – Including a comprehensive upgrade of the finance system set to make it even faster and more user-friendly.
Association of Danish Pharmacies has decided to retain its partnership with NNIT, which took over the operation of PharmaNet four years ago. The system is the backbone of the daily customer service and financial management at 185 Danish pharmacies.
The contract, which represents a three-digit million DKK turnover, follows NNIT's recent success in stabilising the otherwise problematic system. The work will continue to involve on-site development, maintenance, help desk and support for the pharmacies, as well as the underlying operation of the system.
The contract also includes a substantial upgrade of the financial system and development platform in PharmaNet, designed to ensure even greater operational stability for Danish pharmacies in the years to come.
”The pharmacies' daily business is completely reliant on an efficient and flexible IT system, and it is therefore paramount for Association of Danish Pharmacies to offer our members an effective and stable system," says Anders Kretzschmar, CEO of Association of Danish Pharmacies. "NNIT has over the past four years demonstrated their ability to deliver what we need, and the agreement will ensure an even speedier further development of PharmaNet."
”At NNIT we are proud to be able to extend the agreement with Association of Danish Pharmacies. We regard it as an acknowledgement of our improvements to the system and its operation during the past four years, and we look forward to the ongoing operation and progressive development of the system with Association of Danish Pharmacies – with a view to offering Danish pharmacies a solution able to ensure optimal working procedures for the pharmacies and thereby the best possible service to their customers," says Michael Bjerregaard, Corporate Vice President of NNIT.
